I think optimal performance is different than perfection. To me, perfection demands the very best that can be humanly achieved Sadly, it is possible that delivery is not going to come from you or I. Optimal performance on the other hand is the best that you and I have to offer, leaving nothing on the table. Its our very best. These days it feels like there could be 100 different ways of getting to optimal performance. In this 3 part series I want to uncover the elements I believe we would all need, if we are going to deliver our very best.
Training
In this first of a three part series, lets address the component of training. Training is simply purposeful preparation and it is usually in anticipation of a couple of objectives:
- To sustain a current condition. i.e. Maintenance
- To prepare for a coming event. i.e. Anticipation
